Maths - Measurement

WALT read and explain everyday time problems.

I was learning how to tell the time.

• If the big hand is on the 1 and the small hand is on the 12 it is 1.00.
• The big hand points to the hour.
• The small hand points to the minute.
• The hand that moves quickly is the seconds hand.
• am is the morning
• pm is the afternoon/night

 The time is ten minutes to 2 or it is 1.50. 

 This time is 12.30.

I like to use digital clocks because they are easier than analogue clocks. I have a digital clock at home that I can read the time on.

Dance - Term 2

I enjoyed learning how to do the Hip Hop routine.

I was challenged by the hard movements because they were too quick to keep up with.

I was surprised by how good I was at the end. I improved lots in the 2 weeks. At the beginning I thought I would be bad but then I realised that I was good.

I would like to see Dean again. I want him to come and teach us again.

Creepy Rail Road - Moment in Time

WALT write a moment in time.

Creepy Rail Road

I see the rail road and lots of moss. I see a tunnel and the sun.

I feel the rocks crumbling and the moss oozing, I also see the rail road.

I hear creaking birds and also snakes, crickets and snapping.

I smell moss and old concrete, some more moss and also mossed rocks.

I taste moss and stinky air and the leaves flying passed.

So use your left joystick to move and your right joystick to look around. To jump you press A and to drop things you press B. To go into your inventory you press Y and to craft things with out a crafting table you press X

So to craft a sword you put 1 stick and 2 wood or gold or iron. I like diamonds the best. Why you must be thinking well let's just say it's the most strongest in the game and thats all I have to say about the basics.

Multicultural Week

This week I have participated actively in a range of learning experience around ‘Multicultural week’

WHAT: I was involved in a range of learning experiences for Multicultural week. I used chopsticks and learned facts about Israel.

SO WHAT:

I learnt that Israel could fit inside of New Zealand.

I enjoyed all of it and I mostly liked the Israel facts one.

I was most fascinated by the fact that Israel could fit inside New Zealand.

NOW WHAT

A question I have is how can Israel fit so many people in it when it's so small?

Swimming

When we went swimming we learnt how to swim I learnt how to do butterfly and we all had to go to the deep end it was hard!

So when we went to star fish swim school we learnt how to do a butterfly.

I found most challenging was swimming down to the deep end and standing on the bottom.

I am proud of being able to get a promote in swimming.

The school idea I am presenting is a silent room.
I am presenting a model.
I think the school should use this idea because I think it should have this it would be good for schools.

CARE Values

I know how to show my CARE values in the classroom.  I think we have CARE values at Oaklands school because we need them so that then our school will not have to many problems. I think the most important classroom care value's is respect here is a picture of me showing that value

of persuasive writing I know about are
- to make them think good point
- make some questions for them to try and think about it
- try to make a fair argument

I would use the word funny to describe Sophie and  I think Roald Dahl wrote this story because its funny and interesting butt most of all its AWESOME!

something i will do to achieve this is to get better in my writing like getting better with my spelling

Last week I created a collage showing a native forest habitat.
The three animals I chose were possums, stick insects and fantails.
The feature of my art I am most proud of are my animals because I think they look cool.

Writing goal

My writing goal is to put full stops and put more spaces between words and write on every second line.
Something I will do to achieve this is to read my writing out loud so I can hear where the full-stops need to go and add more spaces by using my finger between each word.
